What is Boudoir Photography?

It’s a late 18th century French word and is translated as – a woman’s bedroom or a private sitting room. Boudoir photography, therefore, usually takes place in a setting such as a bedroom or a hotel room… an intimate setting to create classy images that can be soft, romantic, sexy, or even sensual.

I recommend booking your appointment at least three weeks in advance but I am more than happy to accept appointments within a week if the time is available.  Feel free to call us at 832-736-3672 or use our contact form.
No problem, You are still beautiful, Absolutely!

I will guide you the whole way. I do recommend looking at poses you like and trying a few out in front of a mirror before hand. If you are a little self conscience about certain aspects of your body, please let me know. I will use poses to help disguise those areas, and of course, accentuate the areas you like best!

Some of them do, and if it doesn’t, we can add it. I always recommend you use a professional.
I do not provide any wardrobe but I have an assortment of props for you to choose from if you want. I am also more than happy to help you pick out clothing/lingerie for your shoot.  We will spend the first 15 minutes or so helping you select wardrobe (feel free to bring a whole suitcase of choices!) and familiarizing you with the process.

What I suggest you bring:

  • Bra & panty sets
  • Boy shorts
  • Pretty blouses
  • Stockings
  • Jewelry
  • Corsets
  • Heels
  • Leather, Fur, Vests, and Jackets
  • Bridal accessories
Please have a robe to wear in between wardrobe changes and/or pose changes.
This is entirely up to you & your comfort level. Sometimes I shoot fine art nudity, but it is not at all necessary to capture great intimate photos. Sometimes leaving more to the imagination can send a photo into the “sexy-stratosphere”. If doing nude photos is something you are considering, we will chat about this during your consultation, and save the nude ones for the end of your session (once you’re warmed up and feeling hotttttt!)
Does it matter? Do you like my work? What matters most is that I am a professional photographer. But, I can say that I am a happily married male photographer with extensive boudoir photography experience. (I try to use my wife as an assistant on either shoot day or during processing.) I want to make sure you are comfortable at all times and encourage you to bring a friend along if it would help you relax.
I do encourage bringing a friend along if it will help put you at ease. Whatever makes you feel your best so we get the best images of you!
No. Well, sort-of. I will edit all final images you select. The images are great right out of camera, and I only show you the best. I will make you look your best with lighting and poses, but from there I can fix any blemishes or imperfections you want hidden.
While I usually don’t encourage liquid courage, you are welcome to a glass or two of champagne or wine at your arrival to help with the nerves, but if you think it will help you relax more to have a “couple more”, please feel free to bring your own beverage of choice. I only ask that if you consume more than 2 drinks you make arrangements for a friend or family member available to drive you.
I never use anyone’s photos on my website or blog without written permission, so do not fear: you’re images are safe with me. They aren’t even uploaded to “private gallery” for review. We will do in-person image review.
Absolutely! I LOVE shooting boudoir parties for 3-6 women. The cost per package is nicely discounted, so if this is something you are interested in planning, Please contact me for pricing.
